OK, so you're gone for good
OK, so I knew you would
OK, so you're back in town
OK, so I'll see you around
When we parted company and
you said goodbye
I asked you if I'd see you again
Now I wonder why
One of us has got to go
I thought it would pass
How could I know?
What's done is done
And the past is gone
That works fine for other guys, but
How can I last when the past
Is right before my eyes?
Now I try so hard to forget
I try to make my way
But I can't get away from you
I see you everyday
One of us has got to go
I thought it would pass
How could I know?
What's done is done
And the past is gone
That works fine for other guys, but
How can I last when the past
Is right before my eyes?

Someday you'll see that this
love was meant to be
These feelings have set me free for all time
I only pray that your heart will find the way
I'm longing to hear you say you'll be mine
There must be something I
can say to change your mind
But I can wait because that's something you must find
All on your own
It seems to me our two hearts
can beat as one
You'll realize that I'm the one that you need
But I'll take my time, I think it's worth waiting for
I'm hoping you'll open the door, set me free
I'll tell you now I've never
felt this way before
You taught me how to love and now I'm learning more
All on my own
Please say you'll come with
me,
Please say you'll wear my ring
When we're together I know we'll have everything
All on our own
It seems to me our two hearts
can beat as one
You'll realize that I'm the one that you need
Someday you'll see that this love was meant to be
And someday we'll make it all on our own
The Kiss

They had talked for hours
It didn't start with flowers like it sometimes does
But when the words began to fail
He didn't know just how to say what was in his heart
And that's when it starts
They looked each other over
Stared at one another in a lover's way
And then the walls came tumbling down
There's only one way out of a stalemate like this
Here comes the kiss
Oh, the kiss
Everything looks different
It's all he's ever wanted, all she's ever missed
Up until that point you can walk away
No one's hurt, no one has to pay
But oh, not after the kiss
The minutes turn to hours
You give in to the power of the passion play
Never a thought of right or wrong
What made you wait so long for a moment like this?
Oh, the kiss
The world just spins
As one friendship ends
And a new one begins
Now the games are over
Is it all you thought that it would ever be?
Or were you blinded by the view?
There's so many more like you
So afraid they might miss
The passion, the pain, the power
The kiss
Must Be Trouble

I was having lunch the other
day
At the place we used to go
I saw a table of your friends
So I stopped to say hello
They asked how you were doing
But they smiled just a bit too long
I'm thinking, Uh-oh
Feels like trouble coming on...
Then I saw your car parked
across the street
So I walked up to the store
And I nearly knocked you over
As you were coming out the door
Your arms were full of brand new clothes
And your face was a shade of red
I'm thinking, Uh-oh
Smells like trouble just ahead...
I know trouble when I see
it
And I've felt like this before
I can hear it coming, I know that sound
The taste won't leave you wanting more
Like an itch that's not quite itching
But you know it's coming on
Maybe you've been trouble all along
When I got home last night
and saw
Your car wasn't in the drive
And I didn't see no dinner
Couldn't say I was surprised
And I just bet if I head upstairs
There'll be some empty dresser drawers
I'm thinking, Uh-oh
Looks like trouble now for sure
I know trouble when I see
it
And I've felt like this before
I can hear it coming, I know that sound
The taste won't leave you wanting more
Like an itch that's not quite itching
But you know it's coming on
Maybe you've been trouble all along
If it looks like...
and it feels like...
and it smells like...
Lord, it must be trouble!

Still goes to movies, but
he sits by himself
For an hour or two he's all right
But there's no double-features, and there's no guarantee
Won't be no different tonight
What is it like, going over
the hill alone?
When the party is past, do you still call your house a home?
Needs you so much, but he's so out of touch
And he's lived for so long on his own
That it's a lonely man's life, going over the hill alone
Still got his job, but he
cooks for himself
And he's lost all his will to survive
Now the days are all longer, nights are all longer
Feeling more dead than alive
What is it like, going over
the hill alone?
When the party is past, do you still call your house a home?
Needs you so much, but he's so out of touch
And he's lived for so long on his own
That it's a lonely man's life, going over the hill alone
Looking for answers, and
he's finding a few
And his friends are all there when they can
But they've all got their families, their lives, their careers
Just not around like they planned
Never Really Meant To Be

If I could show what I was
talking about
And if you could know what I just can't live without
And if you could see all that I want you to see
And if I could be all that you want me to be
If I could go on with the
twist and shout
And if I could show never a shadow of doubt
Then I could try wearing my shoes to the throne
And I could lie all of the way back home
But if I should hide, trying
to play right along
And you decide there was a hole in my song
Well you know that was no good for you and me
You know it was never really meant to be
And if I run, where would
I end up
Now that I've begun wondering why
And how could I ever look into your eyes my friend
Knowing that I'll never fit in again
And if I could show all that
we need to be free
Oh, but you know all that we wanted to be
But if I need somebody answering for me
(told you before and I'll say it again, do you hear what I'm telling you,
look here and listen to me)
You know it was never really meant to be

When you're down and alone
And you need someone to call your own
That's me, that's me, that's me
When you're lost, out of
time
And you need someone to walk that line
That's me, that's me, that's me
When you look on the ground
And you worry there's no one around
That's me, that's me, that's me
When you start to find
The first one on your line is still
The last one on your mind
That's me, that's me, that's me
When you wake up late at
night
And find the lights all gone
Then suddenly you'll see
That's me, that's me, that's me

I'll take the wheel I'll
take the heat
Whatever it takes to get you off the street
I'm driving now I'm gonna show you how it's done
Get out of my way 'cause from now on
I'm the one
You've had your way for
the very last time
Take what's yours I'll take what's mine
We'll divvy it up and ride off in the sun
I'm gettin' out of town 'cause I've found that
I'm the one
I can't believe I believed
all the lies that you told before
All the tales that you tell they don't mean anything anymore
I can't stand any more
I've taken all I'll take
A little midnight ride to the middle of the lake
I'm comin' back alone 'cause I've found my place in the sun
You better stay down 'cause I've found that
I'm the one
I can't believe I believed
all the lies that you told before
All the tales that you tell they don't mean anything anymore
Well if anybody asks I don't
know where you are
Only you know that I know I went too far
I got my story straight and I'll take it all on the run
I better leave it behind or they'll find tha
I'm the one
Required By Love

There are rules & regulations
in everything you do
You're not out on your own no more,
You got someone there beside you
Don't be so independent
And think you've done enough
It's required by love, you've got to give yourself up
There's lots of people never
care for nobody at all
They think they'll make it on their own,
They're headed for a fall
'Cause soon enough they'll find
There's no more coffee in their cup
It's required by love, you've got to give yourself up
You know we can't make the
rules or break the rules
Or change them all for you
Running out of things to doubt, never number two
Your style may hold you back
awhile & try to make you stay
But if you want that love of hers you'll give yourself away
You'd better start to think about
Who gets the bigger cut
It's required by love, you've got to give yourself up

Don't look up at the stars tonight
They'll make you feel alone
You miss your children and your wife
Will you ever get back home?
You cross the river in the night
To work the fields of tobacco
Looking for a better life
Make some money, send it home
Raphael, tonight you're all alone
Raphael, a thousand miles from home
Raphael, tonight you're all alone
Raphael, a thousand miles from home
From the farms across this land
For distribution in our stores
You work the crops with your bare hands
Your fingers bleeding and sore
So look up at the stars tonight
You'll see a million hopes and dreams
Across the field and fading light
A promise just out of reach
Raphael, tonight you're all alone
Raphael, a thousand miles from home
Raphael, tonight you're all alone
Raphael, a thousand miles from home
Raphael, tonight you're all alone
Raphael, a thousand miles from home
Raphael, tonight you're all alone
Raphael, you miss the stars of your home
